Some creative self help ideas

Some creative ideas we can do on our own for self care. Gather a few empty jars and fill them with materials of your choice; sand, stones, water, etc. Think about how full or empty each jar is, and how much of different emotions you are currently holding within you. Are any emotions overflowing? Do you feel there is less of some emotions?
This can be a powerful reflective exercise, so take care of yourself and take some time to jot down the thoughts and feelings that come up for you during it.
Sometimes we can become overwhelmed by our feelings, without taking time to think about what feelings they are. It helps to remember that you are not your feelings. You are not your thoughts. You can observe thoughts and feelings as they come and go without reacting to them. Sometimes taking some time to reconnect with ourselves as the observer can be a powerful self care habit.
